Building Strength and Resilience One Workout at a Time

Nancy feels stronger, slimmer, and more fit every time she finishes a workout.

“When I need some strength to pick up something heavy, or just get a lid off a jar, I'm confident that I can do it. I love that feeling!” she says.

“I'm also very happy with the belts that I can keep tightening, and the clothes that need to be replaced (because they're too big!).”

Nancy has been a BUFFnation member since April 2019. She joined to lose some weight for a formal event. She started with one workout a week and built up from there.

She loved the atmosphere, the quick pace and the careful planning of the classes.

In March 2020, Nancy shifted from our in-person classes

to our online platform, and has been doing three workouts per week ever since.

She ensures dinner is ready early enough that she can join an evening LIVE class.  On those nights when things don’t go as planned, she loves the flexibility to

select a workout from the massive replay library.

We’ve all faced challenges through the pandemic,

but Nancy has had to manage the added stress of

her husband's diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer's disease.

“I NEED to get my workouts in each week. My body is now depending on them. Otherwise, I don't sleep well, and I actually feel my emotions getting out of control.”

Since joining BUFFnation, Nancy believes her biggest win has been her increased resilience.

“I have a lot to get through. Some very tough life stuff, plus a demanding job, and doing some renovations ourselves. Because of my regular workouts, I'm able to keep my focus on what's in front of me, and plan what I need to do.”

Nancy shares some very wise words with those getting started:

“When my husband got sick, I said to myself, ‘I need to get stronger’. I wish I'd figured that out long ago.

You don't know what life will throw at you, and it's harder to get strong while you're dealing with life's disasters.

Take time while you've got it and get yourself strong, whatever your age.

Your healthy, strong, active body will let your difficult days

pass so much easier than if you're still on the couch.”

Nancy, your commitment to yourself and your family has been unwavering.

You are an inspiration to so many. We will continue to be here to support you and cheer you on as you continue your journey of wellness.

We are so proud of you and your accomplishments! Thank you for sharing your story.
